What is a zine?
A zine is a collaborative, fan magazine. Fan creators participate by contributing fanart, fanfic, and merch designs fitting the zine’s theme. Buyers will receive digital or physical copies of the book, along with merch like charms and stickers.
What is the theme of this zine?
Reforged focuses on the relationship between Tony Stark and Bucky Barnes, across the multiverse. It will contain art and stories about these two characters and their relationship, from a group of talented fan creators. We’re planning for a digital version, a physical version, and a collectors edition with added merch. Details will depend on the contributors participating and the volume of sales.
Will there be a physical Zine?
Options for purchase include digital, physical, and collectors edition packages, including special merch items! For details about the available packages, visit our shop page!
Is the Zine for charity or for profit?
This zine is not for profit. The sales of the zine will pay for the production first, then for copies for the contributors, and anything left over will go to charity. No moderator or contributor will be compensated beyond their contributor zine package.
What kind of content will the zine contain?
The main zine will be General to Teen rated content about Tony and Bucky’s relationship. It will cover multiple universes and showcase different versions of their relationship, romantic and platonic. There will be art, comics, and fics. In addition, there is an NSFW add-on booklet featuring 18+ art and stories. For details on the available packages, please visit our store page!
Buyers
How can I buy this amazing zine?
Preorders are open from February 14th to March 11th, 2023. An Early Bird sale period with special bonus prints will run from February 14th to February 18th, 2023.
When will I get my copy of the zine?
Our production run will begin after the sale period has closed (all sales are preorders) so we know how many pieces to order. Sales will be finalized at the end of March and production will begin as soon as sales numbers are firm. We expect production to run from the end of March to mid-late May, which will allow us to begin shipping in June, however we cannot make any precise guarantees as timelines will be entirely dependent on when our producers are able to get the items to us.
I’m worried I’ll miss important information. What can I do?
Sign up for our mailing list! You can also follow our tumblr and twitter. We’ll be announcing our progress every step of the way and keeping our subscribers up to date on production and shipping timelines.
If I’m under 18, can I still buy the zine?
The main zine will be rated Teen, and will be open to all ages to purchase. If you are under 13, it will up to your parents/guardians to decide if the zine is appropriate for you. Any graphic content will be canon-level (i.e. no graphic sexual content, but there may be explorations of and references to canon content such as PTSD, brainwashing, torture, implied sexual relationships, swearing etc).
The NSFW add-on booklet will be rated 18+ and you must be at least 18 years of age at the time of preorder to purchase it.
How does shipping work?
The zine will be shipped from Europe. Shipping will be through DHL and shipping zones are broken into Europe, Switzerland/UK, and all other International. On the checkout page, you’ll be able to enter your address to calculate your shipping options. Each zone has an option for tracked or untracked packet. If you select tracked, you’ll receive an email at the time your package is shipped with the tracking number.
